It was all a nightmare
I used to read Word Up magazine until the pages tear
Hanging lyrics on my wall
De La Soul, Rakim, Beastie Boys I memorized em all
I let my tape rock til making tapes stopped
Outsider like Pony Boy, and Soda Pop
Way back, when I had the lead in that pencil pack, putting raps to tracks
Remember Rappin Duke, I don't, I didn't
ever think I'd see Hip Hop so far from its beginnings
Now Rappers in the lime light don't rhyme tight
Tryin' to get paid, blowin up the world star page
Born sinner, opulence for the winner
Now I'm pushing 30 eating mac and cheese for dinner
Fuck my ex girl, fuck you Sony
Plus Revenue Canada who took it all from me
I'm falling down like you thought you'd see
Call the number disconnected aww gee, living the dream
And if you don't know, ya never knew kypper
Just like being in the dream, as I rode across the sky
So lonely I'm the only one
I wish that you could see what I see,
When I'm alone, living the dream
Martin had dream, of letting freedom ring
And Kyp he had a dream, and hoped that he would sing
But Martin was assassinated by people infatuated with hatred
invaded all that he considered sacred
And until Memphis they were watching him
That wasn't the dream he dreamt about in Washington
Non violent but gunned down
Like a new day dawning but the suns down
They killed the fucking dream of 63
And I am killing my dream because my dream is killing me
Call it cowardice or call it realness
I lost the permission slip for my field trip
It don't feel as if the embers lit
Or I'm waking from the dream and I don't remember shit
Martin Luther is a King, died living his dream
But I couldn't find the courage in my midnight sun beams.
Just like being in the dream, as I rode across the sky
So lonely I'm the only one
I wish that you could see what I see,
When I'm alone, living the dream
Dream, dream, dream
Dream, dream, dream

Since I discovered you guys in middle school round 2005, my friends and brother have been in love with your guys consistently deep and upbeat themes, presented in the dopest of manners. Ya'll seriously out did yourselves on this album, some modern day philosophers-on-a-beat I swear!
King of the Beach - "I WILL WIN" haha! Brilliantly funny while you're at it too. Colin Gedney

Bombastic hip hop fuzed with many forms of electronic music (EDM, dubstep, house ), west coast hip hop ,breakbeats and funk music. This record slaps real hard. The emcees are not amazing , but they do there job and do have a few killer hooks . idk about Canada , but this album got slept on in the U.S and I hope these guys put out a new project before the apocalypse! a must have for fans of the Doomtree collective , run the jewels , ECID , grayskul and dark time sunshine ! addicted-2-booombap
